Abstract
MENTARI SEFIYANTI, NIM 1313102526. Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Widyadharma Klaten, 2017. Skripsi: Analisis Kesulitan Belajar Matematika Pada Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Delanggu Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. The research aims to find the difficullities in learning mathematics that is experienced by student on the mathematical subjects in algebraic factorization matter, to find the factors wich cause difficulity in learning mathematics on the material algebraic factorization matter and discover problem solving recommendation that can be done to solve the difficulity in learning mathematics on the material algebraic factorization matter in 8th years student of SMP N 2 Delanggu. The type of this research is a qualitative research. The research subject are the student who have difficulity learning in class VIII E of SMP N 2 Delanggu. Data collection teacniques that is applied is tes and interviews method. The results showed that learning difficulties experienced by students are student difficulties in calculation. Internal factor that affect covering (a) the ability to intellectial student (b) how to learn student (c) motivation to learn (d) the habit of learning (e) concentration learning (f) the ability to remember (g) the health of body. Problem solving recommendations for the learning difficulity on the material algebraic factorization matter is the needs of special teaching as an anrichment and healing, using an creative, innovative teaching method, and creates studying condition which supports the student in learning and solving exercise problem. Difficulties experienced by students on mathematics subjects on algebra factorization in class VIII E of SMP N 2 Delanggu among others (a) the student’s ability is still low (b) lack of practice working on the problem of algebraic factorization (c) the mistake most students do in the mastery of the concept is when students mention coefficient, variables, constant, snd an algebraic tribe.
