Abstract
TRIYA NURYATI, NIM: 1312104540. Geography Education Studies Program, Department of Education of Social Sciences, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Widya Dharma University Klaten, 2017. Thesis:“GEOGRAPHICAL STUDY ON TOURISM WATER UMBUL COKRO IN COKRO VILLAGE TULUNG DISTRICT KLATEN 2017”. The formulation of the problem in this research are: (1) How is the geographical description of research area of Cokro village? (2) How is the description of Umbul Cokro water tourism object? (3) How is the geographical study of Umbul Cokro water attraction in Cokro village, Tulung district, Klaten regency? The purpose of this research are: (1) To know the geographical description of research area of Cokro village. (2) Knowing the condition of water attractions Umbul Cokro. (3) To know geographical study of Umbul Cokro water attraction in Cokro village, Tulung district, Klaten regency This research was conducted in Cokro Village, Tulung District, Klaten Regency. The research time used in planning from December 2016 - March 2017. The research used qualitative research with descriptive method. Sample used is Purposive Sampling or sample aims. The subjects of this research are managers, traders, and tourists. While the technique of data collection is done by interview, observation, and document analysis. Data analysis is done by qualitative descriptive analysis including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research indicate that: (1) The geographical description of Cokro village research area includes: a) Astronomically the water attraction of Umbul Cokro located in Cokro village Tulung District is between 07 ° 35'40 "LS - 07 ° 36'0" LS and 110 ° 37'40 "BT - 110 ° 38'40" BT. b) Altitude or altitude is 180 m dpal. c) Type C has a slightly wet type (value Q = 54.4%) average temperature of 25.22 ° Celsius. d) The number of villagers Cokro 2089 inhabitants. e) Has a land area of 81.2695 Ha. (2) Description of Umbul Cokro water attractions include: a) History of tourist attraction has springs utilized for the life of Cokro villagers and made tourist attraction by making water rides since 2010. b) Condition of facilities, infrastructure and facilities on water attractions Umbul Cokro is sufficient and complete enough for tourists c) The potential attraction of water attractions Umbul Cokro for tourists include: clear water quality and flowing all the time, water attractions with a land area of 1500m² and complete with waterboom, underwater scenery Beautiful with large and small rocks, access easy to reach with the road is smooth and there are directions, affordable price entrance fee / HTM Rp 10.500, -. (3) Geographical study of the existence of water attractions Umbul Cokro include: a) Geomorphology of Umbul Cokro Tulung district occupies the form of foot land volcanic that is the founder of the emergence of water umbul at the foot of Mount Merapi east part of the belt spring (spring belt). b) The water factor in the presence of groundwater comes from the catchment area of Mount Merapi, so that the discharge is maintained throughout the period. c) Climate in the area of water attractions Umbul Cokro pertained climatic conditions C (Somewhat Wet) 25.22 ° C. d) Soil factors in the tourist attraction has a good permeability so have the ability to store water. e) Location of water attractions Umbul Cokro adjacent to other attractions and close to the market. f) Organization of tourism object management consists of Tourism Department and private party. g) The main attraction. The tourist attraction is the water that flows all the time with the natural scenery, swimming, waterboom and an additional attraction that is the rafting. h) Tourist service facilities are quite good as places of worship, toilets & rest areas.
