Abstract
JOKO PRAESETIYO, NIM: 1312104532. Geography Education Studies Program, Department of Education Social Sciences. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Widya Dharma Klaten. Thesis: "ANALYSIS OF DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL FABRIC LURIK TRADITIONAL CULTURAL VILLAGE TLINGSING Cawas KLATEN DISTRICT DISTRICT OF 2017". The problems formulation in this research are: (1) How is the productivity of Lurik in Tlingsing village, Cawas, Klaten?. (2) What are the maintenance efforts of traditional Lurik nowadays?. (3) What are the results hoped to be obtained in the maintenance of traditional Lurik?. As for the aims that the writer wants to be obtained in this research are: (1) To know the production methods used in Tlingsing village, Cawas, Klaten. (2) To know the maintenance efforts of traditional Lurik nowadays. (3) To know the results reached in the maintenance efforts of traditional Lurik. The research is located in Tlingsing village, Cawas sub district, Klaten recency. Tlingsing village is a village which is famous for its Lurik makers in Cawas sub district. The technique of data analysis used in this research is data reduction, data presentation, statement of the conclusion, and verification. The analysis method used is triangulation by using 6 people as the sample of the research. The sample is divided into two categories: 4 people as main subject and 2 people asthe assisting subjects with the range of age decided by the writer. Having been conducted the research, the results show that the strategy done by the people in Tlingsing village is very good to maintain and preserve this traditional Lurik so that the cultural heritage remains exist and developed. The efforts done is to keep on maintaining traditional Lurik, doing the cultural tradition in that village supported with the villagers contribution in order to make the traditional Lurik becomes good product based on the principle of improving economic condition and functionaluses so that the Lurik can be accepted by the wider people as a modern yet is still known as the traditional products without ripping off the cultural values within. Knowing the results of the research, the writer can suggest that: (1) Regional government must be able to guarantee that Lurik makers’ income should be proper to fulfill their daily needs. (2) There should be a written rule of using Lurik for the people in Klaten in the efforts of promoting Lurik as one of the remarks which can be found Klaten. (3) Local government which lives among its villagers should motivate and support the Lurik makers and the youth surrounding to keep on loving and maintaining the traditional Lurik. Bringing up the old traditions to make them come alive again. (5) The local government should make the hope of the long term progress of Lurik comes true soon.
