Abstract

THE METHOD COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED Reading Composition (CIRC) TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE Listening FOLKTALE (Class Action Research In Grade 5 MIM Candirejo Ngawen Klaten in the academic year 2015/2016). Thesis. Language Study Program Widya Dharma University Graduate Program. Klaten. 2016. This study aims to identify and analyze: (1) Implementation of learning to listen to folklore in the 5th grade MIM Candirejo Ngawen Klaten by applying the metode CIRC; (2) The application of the metode CIRC can increase the activity of learning and listening skills folklore in grade 5 MIM Candirejo Ngawen Klaten; (3) The difficulties experienced by teachers in implementing the learning in the classroom listening to folklore 5 MIM Candirejo Ngawen Klaten by applying the metode CIRC. This type of research is a classroom action research. Subjects were students in grade 5 MIM Candirejo Ngawen Klaten 2015/2016 school year 20 students. Data collection technique used observation, interview, test and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and interactive metode analysis. Based on the results of research and discussion can be concluded: (1) Metode CIRC in learning to listen to folklore implemented by dividing the students into groups, each group was given the title of a different story, making a summary of the story, read the summary of the story. Each student and between groups of students there is a positive dependency to understand the subject matter as a whole; (2) Metode CIRC able to improve: (a) the active involvement of students in the learning process, can improve student learning enthusiasm when listening to the teaching-learning process takes place; (b) student achievement in listening folklore; (3) Difficulties experienced teachers in implementing the learning listening folklore, among other things: pushing the courage students to talk during these discussions, break-out groups of students who can truly represent the heterogeneity of the students, observation and assessment of students' activity during the learning process takes place, the atmosphere learning can not take place as it is, because of the presence of collaborator teachers make students know that learning activities are being carried out the research.
