Abstract
ST. WIBOWO, NIM. 14PSC01657 IMPROVED ABILITY TO WRITE POETRY CLASS V SDN II GAMBIRMANIS PRACIMANTORO DISTRICTS BY OPERATION OF MODEL-BASED LEARNING PROBLEMS OF LESSONS 2015/2016 Thesis. Master of Language Education, Graduate University of Widya Dharma Klaten, 2016. This classroom action research aims to improve the ability to write poetry with problem-based learning model in SDN II Gambirmanis districts Pracimantoro Wonogiri district. The study specifically aims to; (1) describe the use of problem-based learning model in teaching poetry writing class student V SDN II Gambirmanis districts Pracimantoro Wonogiri district, and (2) improve the ability to write poetry fifth grade students of SDN II Gambirmanis districts Pracimantoro wonogiri district through the implementation of problem-based learning model. Research is classroom action research. The research subjects are students of class V SDN Gambirmanis districts Pracimantoro Wonogiri district. Actions carried out 2 meetings with the details of one meeting each cycle. This study was implemented starting in January until May 2016. The research data in the form of process data and product data obtained through observation techniques, interviews, and assignments. The instruments used are the guidelines observation, interview and assignment sheets. Checking the validity of the findings made with perseverance, observation and triangulation as well as checking peers. The data were analyzed by flow model of data analysis techniques including the activities of data reduction, presentation of data, verification, inference data. Conclusion The results showed: (1) the use of problem based learning model can be implemented, and (2) the use of problem based learning can improve students' skills in writing poetry, both in terms of process and in terms of products at the discovery stage of ideas, writing and presentation , In terms of the process of learning to write poetry at the discovery stage ideas can boost the motivation to participate in the learning process so that students become excited and active follow every step of the learning activities of creativity and enthusiasm of students in learning to write poetry, enthusiasm and creativity of students in finding the idea of poetry that comes from observations , In terms of products, the application of this model at this stage the idea of the invention can improve students' skills in: understanding the elements and descriptive poetry writing pattern, find an idea that comes from observation, and describe the object of observation in accordance with the pattern of the selected poems. Based on these results, it can be stated that the process of improvement of the students wrote poems both in the discovery stage of ideas, writing and presentation was xviii successful. Through these actions the students no longer have difficulty writing poetry.
