Abstract
Wahyu Aprilianna, No.0911202338, English Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Widya Dharma University, Klaten, 2016. Thesis: A Descriptive Study on the Mastery of Reading of the Tenth Year Students of SMA N 1 Ceper Klaten in Academic Year of 2014 /2015 This thesis aims at giving a description of the mastery reading of the tenth year students of SMA N 1 Ceper Klaten In Academic Year of 2014 /2015. The problem of the study is How is the mastery of reading of the tenth year students of SMA N 1 Ceper Klaten In Academic Year of 2014 /2015?" To answer the problem above, the researcher conduct a research in order to get the data. In collecting the data, the researcher uses a test. There are 20 items on multiple choices. The researcher carry the try out test at MAN Klaten. After the instrument is proved to be valid and reliable, the researcher carry out the research at SMA N 1 Ceper Klaten. In the research, the researcher takes 30 students as the sample from 200 students of the population by applying the proportional random sampling. After getting the data, the researcher analyze the data by using statistical method with a tabulation procedure and mean. It is to know the students mastery of reading. The result of the study shows that the students who get very good score are 16 students; good score are 9 students, fair score is 4 students, poor score is one student and there is no student who gets fail score. Therefore, the researcher concludes that the mastery of reading of the tenth year students of SMA N 1 Ceper Klaten In Academic Year of 2014 /2015 is good.
