Abstract
CINDY AYU NUR H, 2111200012, English Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Widya Dharma University, 2024, Klaten, S-1 Thesis: The Implementation of Mind Mapping Learning Model Assisted by Canva on Teaching Writing for the Eleventh Year Students of Berbudi Gantiwarno High School in Academic Year 2024/2025. The aim of this study is to answer the research question: “How is the implementation of Mind Mapping learning model assisted by Canva on teaching and learning writing for the eleventh-year students of Berbudi Gantiwarno High School in academic year 2024/2025?” This study is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The data in this study were collected through observation, interview, test, and documentation. The sources of data are the English teacher and the students of class XI IPA. The data analysis was conducted through the three concurrent steps of qualitative analysis: data reduction, data display, and data resentation based on Miles and Huberman’s model. After analyzing the data, the writer found two major aspects in the implementation of Mind Mapping learning model assisted by Canva: (1) the learning material used is report text with the subtopic “The Life Cycle of a Butterfly”, and (2) the learning steps include opening, main activity, and closing. During the process, students created digital mind maps using Canva as a media to organize their ideas before writing. The result of the implementation shows that both the teacher and students responded positively. The students were more active, motivated, and confident in writing after using mind maps with Canva. Their ability to organize ideas improved significantly, as shown in the comparison between pre-test and post-test scores. The use of Canva helped students visualize their thoughts and produce more coherent and structured writing. Keywords: implementation, mind mapping, Canva, writing, report text
