Abstract
Sintha Febiyani, 1911200001, English Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Widya Dharma University, 2023, Klaten. S-1 Thesis: The Implementation of Jigsaw in Teaching and Learning Reading for Tenth Year Students of SMK N 1 ROTA Bayat. This research aims at solving the problem as follow: How is the implementation of jigsaw in teaching and learning reading for tenth year students of SMK N 1 ROTA Bayat? The research is the implementation of jigsaw. The subjects of the research were 36 students of the tenth year students of SMK N 1 ROTA Bayat in academic year of 2022/2023. The techniques of collecting data were observation, documentation, interview, test, and questionnaire. The data were analyzed by descriptive qualitative method. The finding showed that the jigsaw method was successfully implemented for students of the tenth year students of SMK N 1 ROTA Bayat in the academic year of 2022/2023. The students learn English more actively. The students could follow the lesson and do the assignment well. Jigsaw implementation in the teaching and learning reading process could improve the students’ reading skill. Keywords: Implementation, Jigsaw, Reading
