Abstract

This study aims to test the model whether the knowledge values of preparedness towards and perceived behavior control in the theory of Planned Behavior have a positive influence on the disaster attitudes of mothers on the slopes of Semeru, East Java. The research design was carried out using a quantitative method which explains the causal relationship between one dependent variable and the two independent variables being tested. Hypothesis testing is formulated in a model using a multivariate test. The population in the research were all women on the Semeru slopes. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling of 100 women on the slopes of Semeru. The final result of the model is obtained by identifying that there is a positive influence on disaster knowledge and perceived behavior control on disaster attitudes. Future research can be expanded to test the effect of attitudes on behavior and developed research designs through experimental research Keywords: knowledge, perceived behavior control, attitude, disaster
