Abstract

BRIANDHIKA SATRIA RAMA DIANTORO, Student’s Number.1311202858, English Education Study Program, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Widya Dharma University, Klaten, 2020. Thesis.Teaching and Learning Reading for Vocational High School Students. The aim of the study is to describe the process of teaching and learning reading for vocational high school students. The strategy of the research used in this research was Descriptive Qualitative. The data of this research were the information about teaching and learning reading for vocational high school students. The source of the data in this research were journals related teaching and learning reading. The data were collected through documentation technique. The technique of analyzing the data was descriptive qualitative. After analyzing the data, the writer found that teaching and learning reading used different method and it could be applied in different learning material. The researcher found that discover many strategies used in teaching and learning reading for vocational high school students The evaluation that was used to evaluate the learning process and each method uses a different method of evaluation. Evaluation also could be taken from observing all students activities during the learning process Key Words: Teaching reading, teaching and learning, reading strategy, reading
