Abstract
ARIF PRABOWO. 1611200006, English Education Study Program, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Widya Dharma University, Klaten, 2020. Thesis. The Implementation of Picture and Picture Method for Teaching Writing to Senior High School Students. The aim of the study was to describe the implementation of Picture and Picture method for teaching writing to Senior High School students. The strategy of the research used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The data of this research were the information about teaching and learning writing using Picture and Picture method. The source of the data in this research was 5 journals related to teaching and learning writing using Picture and Picture method. The data were collected through documentation technique. The technique of analyzing the data was descriptive qualitative. After analyzing the data, the writer found that Picture and Picture method could be applied in learning materials such as narrative text, poetry, negotiation text, and recount text. The writer also found that there were two different steps that could be used in implementing Picture and Picture method. Picture and Picture method could be implemented by grouping the students or without grouping the students. In evaluating the students, the teachers gave evaluation by giving tasks and also asked the students several questions related to the material. Therefore, the writer comes to the conclusion that Picture and Picture method could be applied in various learning materials and also with various learning steps.
