Abstract

"IMPROVEMENT OF CAPABILITY AND MOTIVATION IN WRITING POETRY WITH THE APPLICATION OF OBJECT OBSERVATION TECHNIQUES DIRECTLY IN THE STUDY OF INDONESIAN LANGUAGE IN CLASS V STUDENTS IN SDN SEMIN IV, SEMIN, GUNUNGKIDUL, LESSON 2018/2019". Thesis, Language Education Study Program, Graduate Program, Widya Dharma University, Klaten, 2019. This study aims to: 1) Describe the improvement in the ability to write poetry by observing objects directly in the field of Indonesian Language study in class V students of SDN Semin IV, Semin, Gunungkidul academic year 2018/2019. 2) Describe the increase in motivation to write poetry by observing objects directly in the field of Indonesian Language study in the fifth grade students in SDN Semin IV, Semin, Gunungkidul, Lesson 2018/2019. This research is Classroom Action Research. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were grade IV SDN Semin IV totaling 20 student. Analysis of the data used is descriptive, that is, only collecting data obtained through observation and test of learning outcomes and analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, data dispute and data conclusion. . The results of data analysis showed that students' poetry writing ability increased from 68.70 to 72.85. The results of writing student poetry in groups increased from 72.25 to 77. The results of student activity observation increased from 64% to 84%. Student motivation increased from 48.5% to 92.5%. Thus it can be concluded 1) With the object observation technique, it can directly improve the ability to write poetry of fifth grade students at SDN Semin IV, Semin, Gunungkidul at 4.15 or 6.04%. 2) With the object observation technique can directly increase the motivation to write poetry students of Seminid Seminidul Elementary School students at 44 %% or 90%. So learning with object observation techniques can directly increase the motivation and ability to write poetry of students at the Gunungkidul Junior High School Semin IV.
