Abstract
SRI INDRAWATI, NIM: 1112104475. Geography Education Study Program, Social Studies Education Department, The faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Widya Dharma Klaten University Klaten. Thesis tittle: "IMPACT OF CHANGES IN LAND USE OF AGRICULTURAL LAND BEING IN OIL PALM BUMI SERDANG VILLAGE. TUNGKAL ILIR DISTRICT, BANYUASIN REGENCY IN 2015 ". The research was conducted in Bumi Serdang Village, Tungkal Ilir District, and Banyuasin Regency, formulation of the problem in this research are how agricultural land use changes into oil palm plantations, How is the socio-economic conditions of the community, What is the impact of changes in agricultural land into oil palm plantations, and Is the change of agricultural land into oil palm plantations affect the labor. The purpose of this study are To determine changes in the utilization of agricultural land into oil palm plantations in the village of Earth Serdang, District Tungkal Ilir, Banyuasin 2015, To determine the socio-economic conditions of society in the Village Earth Serdang, District Tungkal Ilir regency Banyuasin 2015, To determine the impact of changes in utilization of agricultural land into oil palm plantations in the village of Earth Serdang, District Tungkal Ilir, Banyuasin 2015, To Know the effect of changes in agricultural land into oil palm plantations to its workforce in the Village Earth Serdang, District Tungkal Ilir, Banyuasin 2015. The method used in this research is a quantitative method, respondents drawn head of the family who has a agricultural land in the Bumi Serdang Village in 2005- 2014. The number of respondents 30 heads of families, selected “sample random sampling”. The analytical method used is corelation of analytical. The population in this study are all Farmers oil palm plantations totaling 120 Farmers oil palm plantations. The data analysis technique used in this research is the method of product moment correlation analysis of Karl Pearson rough numbers. The results showed that the change of agricultural land into oil palm plantation in Bumi Serdang amounted of 73,33% included in the category of high socio-economic conditions of the people in Bumi Serdang of 56,67% is also classified in the high category. From the analysis of the data by using Product Moment Correlation is rxy = 0.701, and the value of rt each at the 5% significance level = 0.361, and the value rhasil calculation is greater than the value rt , at the 5% significance level, the hypothesis can be accepted. This proves that the change of use of agricultural land into oil palm plantations provide a great share in improving socio-economic conditions of society. Thus the hypothesis is accepted between changes in agricultural land into oil palm plantation in Bumi Serdang Village Tungkal Ilir district Banyuasin regency classified in the high category.
